::I visited CIBC on Old Parham road today, and the attitude of the customer service representative was appalling. I practically had to pry information from him just to understand the steps needed to get things completed,. It felt as though my presence was nothing more than an annoyance to him.

::The tellers were quite efficient. The lines were long, as usual, I note that more tellers are available with the same high quality service

::No one responds to your emails. I have emailed three different persons concerning something. Still awaiting a reply. I have read the reviews here and something is seriously wrong with our banking sector and seems no one will hold these banks accountable for how they treat customers.

::The staff truly has issues. 💔 It’s like they have been through warfare and need to take it out on the customer. The customer service is -0%. You can tell they aren’t being paid well or treated well because they are always crass, petty, rude, impatient and cold. If you call you can never get an answer unless you call the international number . The smart atms are always having issues taking deposits, and if you go in to make a deposit they are upset, petty and passive aggressive. One time I went to make a deposit and was having issues and with the smart machine and I asked one of the customer service workers for help and he completely ignored my issue and decided to dwell on the fact that I was wearing and ugly Xmas sweater in the Caribbean and wanted to know if I’m not hot and why I’m trying to be American and if I don’t know that I’m in the Caribbean. I don’t know this man never met him, was beyond confused. I ignored his comments and asked him again what’s wrong with the machine to which he responded you just have to give it time and that I should come back and try again later. 😑 Another time I ran in to make a quick deposit and the smart machine was having issues and I asked security if it will be back up soon, they told me and I can join the line since the machine is acting up. When I got to the teller I told her I would like to make deposit and I gave her my ID, she ignored the ID and asked if I knew my account number 😑. I told her I don’t know it fully and asked if she could look up my name I only have one account 😑 she responded by asking if I had online banking. I said yes. She then said well you can login online and get the account number. I didn’t have data on my phone so I told her this. She said that’s fine the bank has free WiFi so I can connect and look up my account number through that and then just stood there. So I ended up connecting to their WiFi which took some time and then I was finally able to get my account number and give it to her. I’m not sure if they can’t search customers name for account numbers as it’s against policies idk but I found the whole thing just unnecessary. I have so many experiences of just horrible service but this review is already too long. It’s truly a bank full of bitter staff who seem psychologically burdened and underpaid who can only find hope and peace by retaliating towards their customers over irrelevant and trivial things.

::I honestly wish I could give zero stars. I deposited a local cheque about 2 months ago and the cheque is showing in my current balance but not my available balance. In 2 months of calling, I have only been able to reach the local branch once, they took my information and said they would call me back, six weeks later, I am still waiting. Even when I am routed to CS in Jamaica, they cannot reach my local branch. I will never bank with FCIB again and I will never recommend them to anyone. If I entrust you with my money, it should not be so difficult to get in contact with you. Officially ZERO Stars!
