  Omg please please visit this restaurant! The ice cream and waffles will have you coming back for more, and I mean that literally. I visited multiple times during my stay in Antigua and I would readily visit again.

  The food here is ok. The service is what really bugged me especially the guy working there, he had an attitude because I asked why wasn't there a sign about not accepting cards. They are cash only, and if you have a credit or debit card, they walk you to another store to pay for the purchase. I was told this after my food was being handed to me and my friends. Almost all the places in this tourist hot spot accepts cards so it's not odd to want to use that. Plus I had ran out of their local currency. I was very annoyed that there was no sign stating this beforehand, so I had to leave my food on the table and walk somewhere else to pay for it. The guy was rude, he didnt want to even show me where the place was to pay for it. I told him they should have a sign up, and that this was an inconvenience, he responded very nasty.

  When I asked a simple question, I was replied to with a bad attitude and when I left I heard someone say I was rude, all I did was ask a simple question that's it.

  Our favorite in Antigua for Belgian waffles and delicious homemade ice creams. Must try their flavors creme brulee' ,speculas and mocha..

  Fred's Belgian Waffles and Ice Cream is located in Redcliffe Quay in the vicinity of Big Banana, Nevis Street Pier and Heritage Quay in St. John's, Antigua. The Ice Cream Parlor and Waffle Shop is a favorite hang out spot and Restaurant so to speak. The Waffles are freshly made into cones or left flat according to the order. The wide selection of flavors excited the taste-buds and the imagination as well ( when I heard about the "Hokie Pokie" flavor, I kept wanting to turn myself around). The scenic view of the St. John's Harbour coupled with the historic surroundings added to the overall ambiance of the place. The shop/Restaurant/Ice Cream Parlor was well kept and seeing the waffles being made one at a time before your eyes was a bonus delight. The customer service was excellent and my group took advantage of a slight lull in customer arrivals to get good seating and a more personalized touch if you would. Fred's Belgian Waffles and Ice Cream is now our favorite ice cream parlor in town and it is highly recommended.
