  Avoid using island routes at all costs. It has been nothing short of a nightmare/hassle with this joke of a company. If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I had booked two tours through them for our honeymoon while staying at sandals. The day of our first tour (dune buggy) we arrived to the desk to only find out as we tried to check in for the excursion that the tour had been cancelled because of “maintenance”, Which was a bummer but we understood stuff happens so island routes rebooked another tour for us (safari, kayak, snorkel tour) to do on Wednesday. Wednesday comes along and once again when we go to check in at the desk they proceeded to tell me oh you missed that tour it was on Tuesday. The paperwork we signed had clearly stated Wednesday. So once again island routes had no communication with us nor tried contacting us to tell us they moved the date of our tour. At this point I was skeptical to even book the sunset cruise with island routes that we received as a promo through sandals. And wouldn’t you know Thursday comes around we check in and are told the boat is running late. We waited around in the lobby for 1.5 hrs before being told the tour was cancelled. We went back up to the desk and expressed our frustration on how they literally cancelled all 3 tours we had with them robbing us of our time and not being able to see any of Antigua like planned on our honeymoon and the response we got from the desk was “sorry there is nothing I can do”. Save yourself the hassle, headache and time and DO NOT BOOK with island routes. They also give you hard time even just trying to get a refund when they cancelled on us!!! If you’d like to do some tours definitely use Isaac tours on the beach. His tour was AMAZING, very trusting and reliable. You won’t regret it. Plus it’s cheaper!

  If I could rate this company 0 stars I would. My wife and I booked two excursions prior to arriving in Antigua on our honeymoon. We booked a dune buggy tour for Friday, which we found out was cancelled right when we checked in at the desk on Friday morning. We booked another Eco Kayak tour for the following Wednesday (or so we thought). We checked in Wednesday morning and they proceeded to tell us that the tour was Tuesday and we missed it the day before. We had the paperwork that showed a Wednesday tour date. They asked if anyone got in contact with us on the date change. No one did. No call, email, note left in our room, etc. 0 for 2. We also had booked a catamaran sunset cruise for our last night (Thursday night) in Antigua. Cruise was scheduled to start at 4pm. They kept telling us it was delayed 15 minutes until finally at 5pm everyone was questioning what was really going on. There was nothing they could do for us and the rep from Sandals came to the desk and essentially said there’s nothing we can do because we booked it as part of a promo with our package. They gave us a customer service email address to email (what a joke). We would’ve used this promo towards something else had we known what a complete joke Island Routes is. If you goto Sandals Antigua, DON’T book a tour with Island Routes. I highly recommend booking with Isaac tours on the beach. He’s a very nice guy and the one catamaran excursion we went on through him around the Island of Antigua was an incredible experience. The entire crew was a lot of fun and we had a great time. Do yourself a favor and book with Isaac and not Island Routes.

  Great tour desk and wonderful tours offered. You must try the EXCELLENCE circumnavigation and the 4x4 Island Safari..
