Curtain Bluff Hotel is a well established hotel in the Southern village of Old Road in Antigua and Barbuda. As the the back story goes,, a then pilot was providing aerial tours around the region and spotted that pristine and idyllic spot from the air and from then on fell in love with the site (and Antigua and Barbuda as well) and determined to place what is now know as the "Curtain Bluff Hotel" there and became a hotelier. I must agree with that historic decision and say that the spot was well chosen also the development and the philosophy of the whole concept was executed with excellence.
The ambiance of the well kept coconut palm tree dotted property is simply spectacular , modern hotel amenities abound and the setting coupled with the great powdery white sandy beach makes for a fun filled relaxing stay. The many repeat guests and the many generations of workers from the local community makes this Hotel an integral part of the accommodation and indeed entertainment scene. Exploration (if that is your thing) is encouraged whether the sights within close proximity or the whole Antiguan Experience. The Hotel benefits from being on the Main Coastal Road/Route and getting around is quite hassle free.
The Curtain Bluff Hotel, is indeed a great place to visit or stay whilst in Antigua and Barbuda.
I bought a US$200 gift certificate for a Spa package and after the transaction was complete the clerk informed me they would honor the certificate for the next 23 days. Escalating to the manager extended the gift to last another 2 months! I thought this was predatory and I had hoped my non-perishable gift could be used on the time frame of the clients choosing rather than what works best for the hotel.
My wife and I have been to Curtain Bluff 11 times since about 1986. We knew Rob before he was married? We knew Cal as well as the entire staff? We loved Howard and Shelley. What a "Wonderful Vacation Experience." It is "truly" a Wonderful experience..
