Curtain Bluff Resort/Hotel is an Accommodation provider and so much more situated in the southern Village of Old Road directly opposite the Old Road School and with in close proximity to Morris Bay and others along the main road. The Resort is integrated into the society and most of the staff hails from the Old Road Village and environs having workers from many generations (for instance a waiter will have father who was a waiter before him passing on the tricks of the trade so to speak). There is a philanthropic component to establishment providing scholarships and other assistance to staff and their family members.
The Family theme is prevalent at the Curtain Bluff Resort/Hotel boasting multiple repeat guests for a number of seasons. The property is served by no less than three (3) white sandy beaches including the adjoining Morris Bay. That island off in the distance is Montserrat and the others (visible on clearer days) is Guadeloupe to the left and Nevis and St. Kitts to the right, other Islands may be visible as well.
Many land and sea based activities are available and a stroll on the beach or along the road are viable exploration options coupled with the popular Island Tour. Carlistle Bay and other coastal regions and inlets with splendid beaches and great diving spots are just a short boat ride away. Spectacular picturesque landscape and seascape views are within close walking distance and from the Resort as well, don't forget that gorgeous Sunset towards the horizon.
All in all and much more can be said however getting that one in a lifetime experience is just priceless (every time).
AMAZING......Just returned from 7 days at Curtain Bluff and this place lives up to the posted reviews. From Check-in to Check out we were pampered and treated not as a guest, but as a friend. Location is perfect. Yes, it is a 30 minute drive from the airport, but once you arrive you have the area to yourself. No other hotels in the area. The beaches are beautiful. Water sports staff could not be more accommodating and helpful. If you wanted to do it, they were there for you. Water skiing, paddle boarding, snorkeling on the reef right in front of the property. Food was excellent, and dinner at the Sea Grape, right on the beach was spectacular. Robert the manager had many cool stories and treated us like an old friend. Chelle, the owner was always milling around, checking on guests and making sure your every need was met. Make sure to go to her weekly cocktail party at her house, as the views are out of this world from the top of the bluff.
Very few things in life live up to your expectations while traveling, this place went far above and beyond ours. We met many people who have been going back year after year, and can not only see why, but we will be joining them as a returning guest. GO... you will not be sorry!
A truly beautiful resort, in an amazing location with amenities, food and staff that will treat you like long lost friends.
A special Thank You to concierge Seth for helping me get our wedding song (we were on our honeymoon) played at dinner while the band was on break. Seth went above and beyond to make this happen, as well as Lenroy in water sports for all his help and patience as we tried new water sports. Lenroy was patient, hard working and quick with a smile and story.
This was one of the best experiences in my life. Spent my 40th anniversary with the whole family just wonderful week. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. If you go you got to meet the owner she is fabulous.
AMAZING!!! Luxurious and so worth the money. The golf course is amazing, this resort is amazing! So clean, modern and the staff goes above and beyond to help you all day. Hi Guys!!
I entertain here on Monday nights. It is one of the top resorts on island and the scenery is breath-taking. The staff is AMAZING! The owner interacts with her guests so much so that you may not be able to tell her apart from them. It belongs on your "must visit" list when coming to Antigua!
